The #1 Secret to Having Good Luck at the Greyhound Track

Greyhound Dog Racing Tips.

Do you believe in luck? Do you think that luck has anything to do with whether you pick winners at the dog track? Do you ever move to another seat to "change your luck" or do you have a lucky shirt or hat or pen? Most of us, no matter how we say that we don't believe in that stuff, are a little superstitious about luck, especially at the dog track.

Although I try to deny to myself that luck plays any role in my handicapping, I have to say that there's an element of luck in anything humans are involved in. And, at the dog track, where you have eight dogs out on a track with no one controlling them, luck is certainly a factor.

Luck is just another way of saying whether what happens is favorable to our interests or not. If the 5 dog trips over the 4 dog and they both fall down, it's luck for me - if I don't have them in my bets. Of course, it's also unlucky for everyone who does. So, whenever something happens in a dog race, it's good luck for some people and bad luck for others.

Another example of luck is the old story about the guy who stops to let a little old lady cross the street and goes on his way, only to come upon an accident that he would have been in if he hadn't stopped to do a good deed. It's the same way at the track. If you arrive late, miss the daily double and it turns out to be the two dogs you were going to play, you're having bad luck. But if you miss the double and it isn't the one you would have picked, that's good luck.

A lot of times, luck is all in how you look at it. However, I have noticed that some people just seem to be naturally luckier than other people. I don't know why this is, but I have noticed that they do something that cashes in on their luck and amplifies it. They seize the moment when their luck is good and go all out. They bet big and cash in big and seem to attract even more luck the more they "push their luck".

That's the secret to using luck to your advantage. When your luck is running high it's no time to be wimpy and hesitating. Lady Luck doesn't like wimps. She likes flashy, go for broke, daring people who aren't afraid to put their money on the line.

Of course, we all have to stay within our financial boundaries and not go overboard, but that doesn't mean we can't make a bigger splash when luck is backing us, does it? As long as our luck is holding, that's the time to do what the lucky few do: Cash in.
