The Surprising Benefit of Using a Greyhound Handicapping System

Greyhound Dog Racing Tips.

The only reason most people spend their hard-earned money on a greyhound handicapping system is to have it pick winners for them. They get tired of not making money and figure they'll let the system do it for them. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work out that way.

For many people, what happens when they get a system is that they try it a few times, make a little money and get disappointed because they don't get rich right away. Most people aren't willing to put in the time and effort it takes to learn how to use a method to its best advantage.

But for those who ARE willing to put in some work, there's a surprising perk that comes with that system they bought. Not only do they pick more winners because of the system. They also pick more winners because they get a lot better at handicapping even without it.

By going over programs, looking for the factors that the method considers important and spending time thinking about what the system teaches, they get better and better at spotting what matters when it comes to winning at the dog track.

It builds slowly until one day they realize that they've become pretty good handicappers. They no longer waffle between two dogs or make side bets because they're not confident. They know that their judgment is good now and they're comfortable with passing races that they don't see anything in.

Getting good at using a handicapping tool makes you better at handicapping without it too. It's as simple as that. Of course, no one mentions that when they sell you a system, because they've been using it for so long that handicapping is just second nature to them. They don't even think about it anymore.

You start out handicapping with the handicapping paper in front of you and it takes forever - or so it seems - to go over all the points it covers. But then as you use it, you find that you don't have to keep referring to it. Finally, it becomes part of your handicapping knowledge and you hardly look at it because it's part of your knowledge base.

That's the surprising thing about systems. The good ones are like implants. You don't even realize they're there anymore, but you use them every time you handicap a race.
