Win at the Dog Track by Playing These Cards

Greyhound Dog Racing Tips.

No matter how much you like something, sooner or later, you get a little bored with it. Even something as exciting as betting on dog races can start to get a little old after a while. You might find that you're not really into going to the track, because you just don't seem to be picking them lately. Here are some things you can do when that happens.

First of all, you have to decide whether you're just "off" the track for a short time, or are losing interest in it entirely. If that's the case, there's no sense in sticking with something that you don't really like anymore. Find a new hobby. Move on and don't worry about it.

But if you're thinking that it's a case of just being a little bored with the same old same-old, why not try these suggestions for getting that old handicapping spark back? One or more of them might do the trick. If they don't, maybe they'll spur you on to think of some ideas, yourself.

First of all, one of the best things to do when the dog track loses its charm, is find something else that exercises your brain. Many people like handicapping because it lets them use their minds to figure out the puzzle of which dog out of 8 is going to be the first over the finish line.

One of the best ways to do something similar is by playing card games. It doesn't have to be poker, although that's a favorite with many handicappers. Any card game that makes you think and uses strategy will do. Play some games of cards with your family and friends for a challenge that's also fun.

For a solitary pursuit that uses your brain to the maximum, try word searches or crossword puzzles or Sudoku. Anything that gets the old gray cells working will sharpen your intellect and help you when you decided to go back to analyzing programs.

Brainstorm and I'm sure you'll come up with plenty of ideas to work through the doldrums that hit all handicappers from time to time. After a little break and some mentally stimulating pastimes, you'll be fresh and ready to give greyhound handicapping a go again.
