Greyhound Racing Guide

Greyhound Dog Racing Tips.

Over the last few years, Greyhound Racing has really developed and changed it's image, becoming a sport that can be enjoyed by the whole family. With excellent modern facilities, restaurants and even special areas for children, the majority of dog tracks in the UK are accessible to all, be it a hen party, a lads night out or a family get together.

Greyhound racing can also be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home. Sky Sports is now cover a number of greyhound racing meetings throughout the year, and this means you can get a feel for the action from the comfort of your armchair before making a trip to your local track.

The biggest greyhound race of the year is the English Greyhound Derby which takes place at Wimbledon Stadium. The atmosphere at the Greyhound Derby Final is 2nd to none and I highly recommend going but it's probably one of the only events to leave the kids at home for. The venue is always packed but the amazing atmosphere more than makes up for it.

Before you go racing, be sure to check out offers from whichever greyhound track you plan on attending. A number of UK greyhound stadiums offer concessions, especially for group bookings. If you are a business looking for an up market night out, there are also corporate facilities on offer at most stadiums.

The best greyhound stadium in the country is now open to some debate with the constant improvements that have been made in recent times. Wimbledon or Romford are probably the two best track in London and the newly re-branded Newcastle dog track is popular in the north of the UK.

A night out at the dogs need not cost a fortune. If you are new to betting on greyhounds, you can have fun bets from as little as 50p or £1 that can still pay £100's. Trios and Jackpot bets can offer a lot of excitement for a very modest investment.
