Greyhound Handicapping With Times

Greyhound Dog Racing Tips.

Even beginning greyhound handicappers know that time is very important when you're considering which dog to bet in a race. But how many bettors know what "times" is and why it's just as important? Do you?

The number of times it takes a dog to get out of a grade is just as important as the times of its races. If you see a dog in B and it's taken it six races to get there, will you bet it over a dog that took one race to move from C to B? I wouldn't.

Yet, people bet on races where they have no idea how many races it took each dog to get into the grade its in today. This is no way to win money at the dog track. It's much better to go back, if you have to, and find out what the few lines in the program doesn't always show you.

If you can only see a couple of lines that show you the dog's record from the grade its in now back to the grade it moved up from, do some homework. Go online and look up the dog in greyhound data or old programs and find out how long it took to make that move.

This is the kind of detail work that 90% of bettors never do. You have to wonder if the fact that 90% of the crowd loses at the dog track is a coincidence. I don't think so. I think it's because they're not aware of these little details and also because most people just aren't willing to put in the work it takes to win. Are you?
