Dog Racing Tips - Dont Let This Dog Rob You

Greyhound Dog Racing Tips.

The goal of handicapping a greyhound race is to come up with the dog that will cross the finish line first. If you bet exotic bets, of course, you may also be looking for the next 2-3 dogs that cross that line, but the method is the same.

One way to find the winner is by ranking the dogs by several factors. Class, running form, recent race times, post position and running style might be what you use to determine which dogs have the edge over the others.

When you're doing this, there's one dog that you should really move to the bottom of the ranking heap. This is the dog that has almost no chance of winning. Do you know which dog that is? Well, here's a hint. This dog believes in the old saying, "If at first you don't succeed; try, try again." even though it doesn't work for him.

When you see a dog in a grade that it has never won in, despite moving up into that grade more than once, think twice about playing it to win. Unless it's a puppy, this type of dog will probably never win at this grade. It will win in the next lower grade, move up to this grade, and then bounce back down to the lower grade again.

These dogs might be okay for a trifecta or quiniela bet with another, better dog on top. However, I wouldn't bet them to win. Until they show me that they can win at this grade, I use them in keys or wheels, but I don't bet them on top.
