Customize Your Greyhound Handicapping System and Pick More Winners

Greyhound Dog Racing Tips.

Most dog players start off playing spot plays. We learn to look for dogs that are in a special situation to bet on in a race - one that has just won by six lengths, for instance. As we spend time at the track, we learn to handicap better by looking at the factors that indicate whether a dog is ready to win or not.

As time goes on, we refine and improve our methods until we win more than we lose. Some people do this on their own. Others help the process along by buying systems or books on handicapping. Some people never do get better at handicapping and just fall into picking numbers or betting on dogs with names they like. This is no way to make money at the track.

Some of us, like me, get really serious about making money at the dog track. We spend hours going over programs, researching and analyzing until we find as many secrets as we can to help us win. This is a tedious process and most people don't have the mindset for it.

I happen to like going over old programs, but I'm an odd duck anyway. If you're not into that much research, you can still customize your handicapping method by making improvements to it. This, of course, assumes that the method you use is flexible so that you can adjust it for your track and betting style.

This is very important and so is making sure that the methods you use for picking dogs can be combined. There's nothing worse than getting several systems and finding out that they don't work together. That's a waste of money.

Some of the older methods are strictly standalone, but the newer ones like the graded greyhound ones and the ones that are both a system and a way of presenting information are more customizable.
